PATINA OSAKA

In February 2026, I stayed at Patina Osaka and would love to introduce it to you. Opening in May 2025, it marks the Japan debut of Capella Hotel Group, a luxury hotel brand from Singapore.

It is located on the south side of Osaka Castle, with the nearest stations being Morinomiya Station (JR Osaka Loop Line and Osaka Metro) and Tanimachi 4-chome Station (Osaka Metro).

Head up to the top floor, the 20th floor, where the front desk is located.

I checked in at the stunning lobby offering a panoramic view of Osaka Castle. I was served a welcome drink.

There are six guest room categories. In my opinion, the view of Osaka Castle is the real highlight of staying at this hotel. The Deluxe Rooms, Premier Rooms, and Deluxe Suites offer both Osaka Castle views and city views. All other suite categories come with Osaka Castle views. For this stay, I booked a Junior Suite.

The Junior Suite is a corner room with a wonderful sense of openness, complete with a private terrace overlooking Osaka Castle.

There is nothing obstructing the view of Osaka Castle. I believe the castle view here is arguably the best among all nearby hotels.

The vanity area is pleasantly spacious.

Since my booking came with a hotel credit, I used it toward room service.

Breakfast was served at the restaurant 「INAKI」 as a semi-buffet paired with a table-ordered à la carte menu. What made it wonderful was that we could order as many à la carte items as we liked, and every warm dish was served freshly prepared right to our table.

Midway through breakfast, snow started softly falling outside. Osaka Castle is famous for its cherry blossoms, so I would love to visit again in the spring.

Total Review

The view from the room was simply magnificent. Rather than being flashy or overly glamorous, the interior centers around warm, soothing wood tones, creating a truly delightful ambiance. The breakfast, where every single dish reflects great care and craft, was also exceptionally satisfying.
